Support Given to Diocese of Athabasca

The money collected during the open offering from the services held during our recent Synod has been sent to the Diocese of Athabasca to be used for the Slave Lake relief effort.  The gift was approved in a motion which passed unanimously at the synod. In a letter to Bishop Fraser Lawton which accompanied the donation of $1431.65, Bishop Corston stated “I am so very proud of the Synod members for making this gift. In the midst of what was a very difficult agenda, the Diocese wanted others to realize that we have a heart to provide ministry assistance outside our own needs.”
