The Most Rev. Colin Johnson




The Most Rev. Colin Johnson, Metropolitan of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario & Bishop of Moosonee. Archbishop Johnson became the Tenth Bishop of Moosonee on January 1, 2014 and will be installed at Archbishop Anderson Memorial Church, Cochrane on Tuesday April 1, 2014 at 7:00 pm. The Right Rev. Thomas A. Corston, Retired (Assisting Bishop)


Bishop Tom Corston was ordained priest in 1975 in the Diocese of Moosonee, and was consecrated Bishop in St. Matthew’s Cathedral, Timmins on Tuesday, July 6th, 2010.


He received a Bachelor of Arts from Lakehead University, and a Master of Divinity from Wycliffe College in Toronto.


He has served on numerous national and diocesan committees, and in parishes in the Dioceses of Moosonee, Fredericton, and Algoma. Prior to being ordained as bishop, he served for 10 years as Archdeacon of Sudbury/Manitoulin in the Diocese of Algoma.


Tom and Ruth have two grown sons, Andrew and Stephen, both living in Sudbury.


Bishop Corston retired on December 31, 2013 and acts as Assisting Bishop.
