The Most Rev. Anne Germond

 

The Most Rev. Anne Germond, Metropolitan of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario, Bishop of Algoma and Bishop of Moosonee. Archbishop Anne became the Eleventh Bishop of Moosonee upon her election as Metropolitan at Provincial Synod Oct. 2018  and was formally installed as our Bishop at the combined Deanery Conference held in Val-d'Or QC on February 17th, 2019. 

The Right Rev. Thomas A. Corston, Retired, Bishop's Commisary

Bishop Tom Corston was ordained priest in 1975 in the Diocese of Moosonee, and was consecrated Bishop in St. Matthew’s Cathedral, Timmins on Tuesday, July 6th, 2010.

 

He received a Bachelor of Arts from Lakehead University, and a Master of Divinity from Wycliffe College in Toronto.

 

He has served on numerous national and diocesan committees, and in parishes in the Dioceses of Moosonee, Fredericton, and Algoma. Prior to being ordained as bishop, he served for 10 years as Archdeacon of Sudbury/Manitoulin in the Diocese of Algoma.

 

Tom and Ruth have two grown sons, Andrew and Stephen, both living in Sudbury.

 

Bishop Corston retired on December 31, 2013 but continued on as  the Assistant Bishop and now as the Bishop's Commisary.
