About this parish:
Constance Lake is an Ogi-Cree First Nations community. The reserve was first established in the early 1940’s. A stop along the railway line, Calstock, at that time was a home for many of the first families to settle along the shores of Constance Lake.
An Annual Memorial Service and Blessing of the Waters, form part of the spiritual life of the Parish. Plans are in place to begin Cree Language classes for youth and adults. Bible Studies combined with Traditional Teachings have recently been started along with the inclusion of Smudging and Drumming at some services.
